51st Interscience Conference on Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy (ICAAC)

We invite you to join us in Chicago for the 51st Interscience Conference on Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy. ICAAC is the world’s premier meeting on infectious diseases and antimicrobial agents, organized by the American Society for Microbiology (ASM). With nearly 100 countries represented, and more than half of the attendees traveling from outside of the United States, ICAAC continues to provide a unique global networking and educational opportunity.

For over 50 years, ICAAC has presented science of the highest scientific quality with an international focus and late-breaker information. This year’s program will once again attract more than 10,000 participants to Chicago, including physicians, clinical microbiologists, researchers, pharmacists, trainees and other healthcare professionals from around the globe.

To bring you the latest findings and global perspectives, the Program Committee has invited internationally renowned faculty to speak in over 100 sessions that include: Symposia, Interactive Sessions, and Meet-the-Expert Sessions. This invited program will be complemented by the poster and slide sessions featuring the highest-quality abstracts received by the May 6, 2011 deadline, and reviewed and organized by the Program Committee. Submit an abstract today at www.icaac.org to be considered for presentation at this important meeting.

The ASM Professional Development Committee has developed a series of high-quality intensive workshops to be held on Friday, September 16. We encourage you to enhance your ICAAC experience by attending one.

The 51st ICAAC opens officially on Saturday, September 17 and concludes on Tuesday, September 20.

The poster sessions and exhibits will remain open all day Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, with poster sessions continuing until noon on Tuesday. The lectures not to be missed are Saturday morning’s Keynote Session, Sunday’s Cubist ICAAC Award Lecture and Monday’s ICAAC Lecture.

Please refer to www.icaac.org for updates to the program and additional information to enhance your participation in this important meeting on infectious diseases.

We look forward to seeing you in Chicago.
