About PFMR
Palestinian Forum for Medical Research (PFMR) is a non-for-profit organization that was formed in 2010 with the main objective to support all those involved in basic, clinical and/or scientific research relating to any aspect of medicine.
Mission Statement
We promote and enhance biomedical research for the improved health and well-being of people and the environment. Although PFMR’s goal is to foster a better understanding of medical research, a great part of our work shall be directed to the public in general. Education is necessarily a major component in the pursuit of our mission.
The Forum aims to encourage and further such research by:
- Encouraging inter-collaborative projects among Palestinian scientists.
- Hosting meetings/workshops for Palestinian scientists.
- Supporting graduate students with finding scholarships in areas related to medical research in order to enhance Palestinian human resources in this field.
- Establishing a common shared resources bank that can benefit medical researchers.
